Mindfulness can be defined as

           moment by moment,
non-judgmental, non-striving awareness. Participants will learn the practicesof mindfulness
meditation, body-scan and gentle hatha yoga as strategies for dealing with stress in a healthy
more effective way.

  Mindfulness Circle

               Masterpeace Studios has created just such an opportunity for you –

The Mindfulness Circle.

 

This new program is a weekly gathering of like-minded meditators who are looking for a supportive environment in which to strengthen and deepen the practice of mindfulness.

Each week a Mind-Body Stress Reduction program facilitator will guide you through 90 minutes of

 

  • mindful yoga/movement
  • formal mindfulness meditation practice
  • opportunity for discussion about incorporating mindfulness into your daily life.

 

Program facilitator:  Bridget Rolens

Bridget Rolens, MA, OT, teaches meditation as a spiritual practice and as a tool for stress reduction.  She is a co-leader for the St. Louis Insight Meditation Group and program facilitator for the mind-body stress reduction program at Masterpeace Studios.  Bridget holds an MA in Theology and a BS in Occupational Therapy.  She completed the 7 day training/retreat, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction in Mind-Body Medicine, with Jon Kabat-Zinn and Saki Santorelli.  In January she will complete the Community Dharma Leaders Program for individuals who lead insight meditation groups. 30 years of experience in traditional healthcare and in a variety of spiritual practices rooted in the Christian, Buddhist and 12-Step Recovery traditions, have given Bridget a strong understanding of the connection between body, mind and spirit in promoting health and well-being.

 

Prerequisite: Completion of the Mind-Body Stress Reduction program or equivalent experience.

 

Class fees

Individual class: $12

5 classes: $55 (card expires in 8 weeks)

10 classes: $100 (card expires in 12 weeks)
